On Monday, Leicester Crown Court was told call records and evidence recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test over the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported investigations and is still unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another phone message, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I feel what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am she? What then? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I possess a living here in Poland, I simply desire to know," she added.

The panel was informed that by means of electronic messages, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a DNA test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a resemblance to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with law enforcement who gathered the evidence, told the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt deposited a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will continue and I will prove my position."

The court learned Mrs Spragg developed a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' property in the county in that winter.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had reached out using WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to state the media had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she ought to be taken seriously in the time before the visit to the village, that area, in last December.

The court learned correspondence between the two individuals, in last November, considering attempting to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her garbage or from utensils at a eating establishment.

"We have to assert ourselves," the co-defendant advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their home, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which stated: "We find ourselves sitting near the McCanns' house with our vehicle dark like private investigators. I had hoped to do this with someone else I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case continues.
