Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
