FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
