Emma Raducanu made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments major tournaments during the season.

Britain's Emma Raducanu will not compete in her final two events in 2025 as a result of a medical condition she has been battling in recent days.

The 22-year-old was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to regain her health ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.

These plans will involve coach Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating for the upcoming season.

She underwent blood pressure monitoring in her opening round against Ann Li in Wuhan last week and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Zhu Lin, a Chinese wildcard in the first round.

Raducanu was also moving with clear difficulty in the deciding set versus Zhu due to a lower back issue that has been a concern at times this year.

Those results signaled a promising season, in which the player advanced into the top 30 globally for the first time in more than three years, finished with a trio of defeats.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points then was defeated by American player Jessica Pegula in round three in the Beijing tournament last month.

The player achieved 28 victories this year and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but her most impressive week was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of this WTA 1000 tournament, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament then falling in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.

Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.

The initial agreement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was until the end of the season but the collaboration persists, with planned training sessions in the coming months.

The athlete revealed that the trial session with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their first tournament together in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
