'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Families of Unaccounted For Teens Await Information After Alpine Blaze

Teenage Swiss national a young man from Switzerland is one of those unaccounted for.

The relatives of teenagers missing after a deadly inferno at a venue in a Swiss alpine town are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for answers and pleading for information about their family members publicly.

The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the middle of the night of the first day of the year. Verified video depict the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have warned that it could take days if not weeks to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which killed numerous partygoers and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson said on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with work continuing to name the other six.

In the interim, loved ones have been posting on the internet to plead for clues about their loved ones who were present at the venue that evening.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his family.

The resident of Lutry near Lausanne, explained to a local newspaper that she had gone back to the city to see if he was in the medical facility, while his other parent did the same in the capital, but could not find him.

"This is a living nightmare, a horror. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. Words cannot describe it," she stated.

She continued that some of his peers had been found with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they went through an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's foreign ministry has said that a number of of its nationals have not been located.

Young athlete Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last in contact around midnight on December 31st, his father said.

Included in that group is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old promising athlete, originally from Genoa but now residing in Dubai.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is dead, without directly referencing the fire, honoring a "young athlete who carried with him dedication and true sportsmanship."

His parent, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An representative has indicated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Additional Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is likewise among the missing. His parent said that he had been on vacation but had gone out with a group and found himself at the bar.

"A close friend said they fled after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers said, "I've always been struck by his kindness and smile, combined with great maturity. Every time offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to reports.

Her sibling has posted an urgent request on social media, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the teenager or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her country of origin say they are continuing to monitor the developments.
