This young athlete maintains impressive social media following
The young golfer will have multiple high-profile cheerleaders when she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates several golf courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially told me to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has played in just three tournaments this year and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He advised me to go out there, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of top competitors in the sport at the competition, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai brings the sport to wider groups, specifically with younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
