Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was among those injured during the incident. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
