White House Decries 'Democrat Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photos Disclosed

Democratic lawmakers have made public a new tranche of what they labeled "alarming" photographs from the estate of adjudicated sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including notably Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The first release of 19 images—a portion of which have been previously circulated—along with another 70 issued later on Friday account for a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is examining the behavior and associations of Epstein.

The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking crimes.

High-Profile Individuals in the Images

Included in the prominent personalities visible in the initial batch are public figures such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft creator Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin conglomerate.

Donald Trump is featured in three of the first nineteen images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are blacked out.

White House Response

The White House responded to the release in a official comment, accusing Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the pictures for partisan aims and to "try and create a false account."

"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been time and again refuted," an administration official said, maintaining that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats ever have by frequently urging disclosure, releasing reams of records, and calling for additional probes into Epstein's Democratic associates."

Democratic Lawmaker Statement

The images were published without context, but according to a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's connections to wealthy individuals.

"It is time to stop this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he said in a comment.

The disclosure of these images coincides with the oversight committee continuing its inquiry into the affair.
